Other Germany-related Geographical
Projects
Charles
Kerchner's Colonial USA Deutsch Project:
http://www.familytreedna.com/public/colonial%2Dusa%2Ddeutsch/
We recommend that you join this
project prior to joining the Germany DNA project if you meet this
qualification:
The qualifier is that German was your ancestors' primary language when they
arrived and settled in the orignial 13 colonies that became the USA for
either the direct paternal or maternal line ancestor.
Charles Kerchner's Pennsylvania Deutsch Project
http://www.kerchner.com/pa-gerdna.htm
The project is seeking
participation from genealogists whose ancestry is predominantly PA Deutsch.
You must know and have documented that PA Deutsch roots exist in both your
father's and mother's sides. You must be able to document your genealogy
back at least 5-6 generations and be able to provide a standard genealogical
ancestry chart to verify your PA Deutsch ancestry.
Doris Wheeler’s
Palatine DNA Project
We
recommend that you join this project prior to joining the Germany DNA
project if you meet this qualification:
Your ancestor emigrated from the Palatinate area of Germany in 1708-1710 and was
considered part of the mass migration that occurred in that period. His or
her name probably appears in one of the books by Henry Z. Jones, Jr.
